Astrological Weather Forecast March 2025
The month of March kicks off with Venus going retrograde in Aries at 10° on March 1st, with the Moon going over it later that day reflecting the change in plotline! Themes that have been emerging since Venus entered its shadow back in Pisces have slammed to a halt and are now going in reverse for more of a revision throughout the month. Venus is said to be exiled here traditionally, so it is possible for extra challenges to arise or circumstances to become more difficult. Something that’s a strength of Venus in Aries is the ability to go for what it wants head-on but being retrograde it’s as if the recoil of the Ram charging ahead may leave us with a headache and whiplash. Being aware of the shift gives us the opportunity to work with the situation and not drive into a metaphorical wall blindly. Taking extra precaution around Venusian affairs could make a world of difference.
Also on March 1st, Mercury goes over the North Node at 27° of Pisces before conjoining Neptune at 28° early March 2nd. Mercury is already fallen in Pisces, mixed with these additional components and such alignments may heighten any distractions or uncertainties. There is a rush of energy towards open-minded, compassionate consciousness with words in conversation seemingly fluttering and flowing. It’s very likely conceptualization will be foggy and articulation to be more poetic than concise. Considering this, it might be best to not get carried away with fanciful ideas or whimsical escapades. Another dimension of this expression can be a fearful disposition causing us to not see things for what they actually are, being very likely. Having some understanding grace while holding as firm as possible in faithful belief could be the best-case scenario with this.
Later on March 2nd, the Sun in Pisces is square to Jupiter in Gemini at 12°. Jupiter is the ruling planet of Pisces and is exiled in Gemini. Expansion might be bifurcated but is picking up some speed as Jupiter has been inching forward through the sign since going direct last month. The Sun in Pisces intention to shine light on the multivalent retreats into the dark depths of this vast water sign to collect itself, likely being a little spooked to show up fully now. Mercury enters Aries from Pisces the next day on March 3rd; thought processes become much less wishy-washy drying out to be assertively directed. With Mercury ruling over Gemini, there is some agreement in how to perceive action putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Then on March 4th, Mercury in Aries makes a sextile to Pluto in Aquarius at 2°. It is apparent a changing mindset is in cahoots with the greater transformative process unfolding. However destructive it might be, this transformation has just barely begun and will play out over the next two decades. A few days later on March 7th the Sun in Pisces trines Mars now direct in Cancer at 17°. Mars rules over Aries and is thought to be fallen in Cancer. Though yet barely moving forward, there is still a sense of picking up some steam towards getting trajectories in motion. Though it might not be obvious on the surface this water trine is a positive influence on things becoming less stagnant with some direct momentum that Mars and Aries are all about.

March 11th, Mercury conjoins Venus retrograde in Aries at 8°. Communications are wanting to discuss what’s next while relations are definitely taking a step back. It can be talked about directly now but will be more nebulously felt later this month when both retrograde back into Pisces. Mercury is just about to station retrograde; this being said even if Mercury in Aries is trying to push things along, the effort is futile.
Then on March 12th, the Sun in Pisces is conjunct Saturn in Pisces at 22° leading to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo at 23° on March 13th. Neptune at the anaretic last degree of Pisces is still close enough to the North Node and this Eclipse it is a part of the equation at hand as well. There is a culmination of the Virgo/Pisces Karma that has built through the last nodal cycle of this axis towards the next cycle that is just opening up. Structures brought about with Saturn's time in the sign of the fishes are crucial to these evolutionary lessons. The transcendence of Neptune can really make navigating the dreamscapes of life become a matter of fact with some of the tactful diligence of Virgo. Trines and sextiles from the Sun and Moon to Uranus in Taurus at 24° make this an Eclipse of sudden innovations and breakthroughs. This potent lunation wraps up with Mercury going retrograde on March 14th. Ruling over Virgo, this speaks to the resulting reevaluation of any events of significance that have occurred.
The Sun in Pisces conjoins Neptune in Pisces on March 19th at 29° for the last time in the sign before Neptune moves into Aries later this month. Neptune will retrograde back into Pisces later this year but will reenter Aries for the long run before next Pisces season in 2026. Neptune is said to be the ruler of Pisces by many modern Astrologers; though I don’t necessarily agree with that view, there is some affinity between them that should be acknowledged in my opinion. The Sun is shining a spotlight right on Neptune in the sign of the fishes at the anaretic final degree bringing more heightened emphasis. By tuning into this energy it's very possible to channel the essence that has been accumulating throughout this Neptune cycle shining it outward to enchant the world. The North Node is only two degrees away at 27°, siphoning a funnel in that direction makes things that much more potent, possibly enticing Sun/Neptune to go overboard. As always with Neptune, especially at the end of Pisces, be careful not to get lost, but also don’t hunker down in fear; have faith in Universal belief.
On March 20th we have the Spring Equinox emerging into a new Astrological year with equal light and dark as the daylight hours continue to extend in the Northern Hemisphere. Through the Sun conjunct Neptune in Pisces, there is a sort of birthing process with the Sun renewed and now exalted in Aries.

For the finishing segment of aspects this month, we see things begin to flare up on March 21st with Venus retrograde in Aries sextile Pluto in Aquarius at 3° rekindling what’s been smoldering underneath the surface between cardinal fire and fixed air. This leads to the Sun in Aries Cazimi Venus Rx at 2° also sextile Pluto in Aquarius lighting the blaze that much more on March 23rd. The next day March 24th, Mercury Rx is Cazimi the Sun in Aries at 4° still within the orb of influence to be considered sextile Pluto in Aquarius with the Moon moving over Pluto at the same time bringing a lunar reflective element into the picture. This chain of events seems very ominous in the Aries season retrograde story and Pluto’s undertakings in the hell realms labyrinth through an Aquarian lens. This could very likely be explosive with a lot of firepower behind it as well as play out on a larger social infrastructural dynamic scale. I very much suggest we all be extra aware and cautious at this time, putting our individual intentions towards the greater good for a hopeful ideal transformative process.
March 27th, Venus retrogrades back into Pisces conjoining Neptune in Pisces at the anaretic 29° degree. In this Venus goes from exiled in Aries to being exalted again in Pisces. Despite being Rx this gives some increased desirability to Venus in addition to being conjunct Neptune, which might be the loveliest of any planetary archetypal combination. This is happening around when the Moon moves over Saturn copresent the Venus/Neptune conjunction in Pisces. Once again there is a ton of emphasis on Pisces creating an upwelling of what had been coming through when we had a planetary pile up in the sign during February.
On March 29th we have the last New Moon Solar Eclipse taking place in Aries at 9° since the Nodes switched axis. The same day we have Mercury retrograding back into Pisces engaging with Neptune and Venus immediately upon reentrance. This is all extra significant since Neptune enters Aries for the first time the next day on March 30th. This is a few hours after the Moon conjoins Chiron at 19° highlighting a higher positive potential for this extensive upcoming Neptune outer planet transit.
