Astrological Weather Forecast April 2025
We have a dynamic astrological month ahead on the heels of true “March Madness." The good news is there are resolutions met and progress made, though as I’ve come to notice in the stars following transits for over a decade… It never stops or appears to “get better”... Just changes in time with new challenges and blessings set in the celestial rhythms appearing before our very eyes here on Earth. I wouldn’t have it any other way; hope you enjoy this forecast for April 2025. Stay persistent, authentic, and strong.
April starts off slow with the main cosmic commotion to speak of being an exalted Venus retrograde in Pisces on the North Node of the Moon on April 1st, then a fallen Mercury retrograde in Pisces on the North Node April 3rd. The main thing to reference here is thinking back on what we were going through in early February when Venus had first gone over the NN, then in early March when Mercury first went over the NN, both at 28° Pisces. Another input of these previous themes was they were conjunct Neptune at the time; what had been coming through then is on the second go of karmic unravelings. Neptune is now in Aries, suggesting there might be more clarity around the Piscean plotline contextually with its absence. Some other variables to consider are the recent Solar Eclipse in Aries around the degrees both planets had stationed Rx, the Virgo Lunar Eclipse conjunct Saturn in Pisces, and currently still being the beginning of the NN Pisces/SN Virgo period drifting through this axis.
The first proper transit to consider as the month of April gets underway is April 4th, when Mars in Cancer trines Saturn in Pisces with Uranus in Taurus right in the middle, sextiling them both at 24°. There is some great potential for these planets to work wonders with watery direction structurally flowing in concert, plus Uranus in the center like a lightning rod translating intelligence from the heavens being ably disseminated in an earthy, grounded way.
April 6th an exalted Sun in Aries brings the heat, sextiling ambidextrous Jupiter in Gemini at 16°. Now that Jupiter is well on its way moving forward through the sign of Gemini post-retrograde, this sextile can be thought of like a dousing of jet fuel blasting things off through an excited exalted Aries Sun. April 7th, Venus retrograde in Pisces trines Mars in Cancer, conjoins Saturn in Pisces, then sextiles Uranus in Taurus, all at 25° reactivating their continued alignment that perfected a couple of days ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if some confirmation is reached or even some fruits of labor are already yielding some bounty. Just as Venus Rx sextiles Uranus we see Mercury stationing direct at 26°, technically making all these aspects as well just ever so slightly not as tight. Mercury is essentially still on the North Node at 27° speaking to the Karmic conversation shift… hopefully in a coherent manner… Mercury is fallen so try to keep such in mind as a piece of the scrambled puzzle.

Though many of these alignments are still engaged and very much present in our lives, there are no new aspects for several days until April 12th when we have a Full Moon in Libra as well as the long-awaited stationing direct of Venus retrograde ruling over this lunation. The Full Moon is at peak wholeness to the arc minute that evening at 23° with Mars in Cancer close enough in orb to be considered T-square at 27°. Our sense of cooperation in relation to others is coming to a culminating point showing any results or progress to speak of or lack thereof. Such reflections might be countered by the need for furthering individual pursuits or intense willpower derived from the self. Any disarray will either be exacerbated or possibly resolved constructively by actions essential to keep things safely secured, or ties could be severed to protect self- allowing for more individual assertion.
Venus goes direct at 24° less than an hour later at the exact degree where the Sun was for the Virgo Lunar Eclipse; undoubtedly, this will inform developments to that story line. Venus still conjunct Saturn is an important ingredient baked into the station as well as extending out through the whole month. Having so much going on with the retrogrades and following the recent eclipse season it might be wise to retread tracks, paying extra attention to observed nuance with numerous threads and trends having come up in relation to Venus. Since a lot has come up around it all, being aware of what just happened will greatly inform what is up ahead as the retrograde planets now direct move through the late degrees of Pisces towards 8°-10° Aries. These degrees are where both planets figuratively turned around to go backward, had conjoined, then where the recent Aries Solar Eclipse happened.
In addition, it’s important to recognize Venus ruling over the Libra Full Moon goes direct conjunct Libra's exaltation ruler Saturn. Libra is extra bolstered with its ruler in an exalted place with the planet it exalts. It seems likely there could be challenges from the Mars T-square ruling the exalted Sun in Aries, but Libra has substantial backup possibly solidifying regressive whimsy obstructive to librian sensibilities. In that Venus hits the brakes stopping moving backwards to start apparently moving forward again says a lot about the context of this Libra Full Moon being a turning point moving things along. Again, I’m going to restate Venus is conjunct Saturn essentially the whole month since it stationed so close causing pretty much constant reoccurring themes.

Coming up mid-month there are several planetary ingresses to mention. On April 15th, Mercury reenters Aries conjoining Neptune immediately right off the bat. Mercury is anxious to leave the waters of Pisces if more tactful capacities are what’s needing attention, but running into Neptune may only confuse things further despite being in a drier, more focused fiery sign. Aries ruling the head usually doesn’t get the same acknowledgment for its intellectual capacities as, say, the air signs do. All three fire signs are primarily intuitive in that fire doesn’t think; it just does. Paradoxically, all three have great mercurial mental potential with air feeding their flames. In the case of Aries ruling the head where analytical thought processes occur, it may be one-track-minded, but fiercely thinking with great force can be an asset. Probably not so much with Neptune there though. Conversations can be aggressive in an unprovoked, seemingly out-of-nowhere manner; one’s thought patterns can go down the rabbit hole ruminating inflamed and smoldering; or mental perception of the self or actions forward may be warped and distorted.
On April 17th, Mars makes its long-awaited reentrance into Leo since retrograding back into Cancer at the beginning of the New Year. Mars is not the happiest camper in Cancer, traditionally being fallen in the sign of the Crab. There are positive expressions with the placement though and this review time going inward was probably much needed in establishing defenses for anything unresolved previously towards the martial process moving forward. Mars is a lot more active and directly progress-oriented in the sign of the Lion. The overall consensus on Mars in Leo is it can be characterized as a “strong” expression showing up how we might stereotypically expect or prefer Mars to show up as. In my opinion, next to the domiciles and exaltation place of Mars, this is absolutely one of the strongest versions, if not the strongest otherwise. It’s still a little while before Mars gets through the shadow degrees to where it went Rx last year, but momentum is steady and fired up again. Move boldly, roar loudly, and embrace asserting the majesty of what is individual positively nourishing everything that grows towards the Sun.
The last planetary change at this time is the Sun ingression into Taurus on April 19th. The Sun is then copresent Uranus, illustrating the Solar will being grounded and fixed yet having some erratic or rebellious kinks to it. Taurus might be all about the status quo, but Uranus has been in the sign of the Bull/Cow long enough that even the most ruminant of Taurians have probably gotten used to their world's soily plains quaking and the boundaries of the ranch being pushed. Uranus will be moving to Gemini for the first time in a few months; considering this it might be ideal to enact innovative ideas in this area now before the energy shifts. Uranus will retrograde back into Taurus later in 2025 but will only be traversing the last degrees, more less completing any groundbreaking progress or revisiting any lightning bolt moments that startled the herd to mosey on in a new direction before wrapping its time up.

April 20th has a few aspects coming through, starting with Venus in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus at 25°. Exalted Venus in Pisces has been making this alignment for quite some time, so it’s felt themes have already had a presence. Venus is the ruler of Taurus, being exalted and sextile to Uranus has probably been and will continue to be a great support, bringing some soothing sensual value to disruptive Uranus that isn’t much Taurus’s cup of tea. The same day Mercury in Aries is sextile Pluto in Aquarius at 3°. This is the third and last pass of this sextile; look back to the previous two sextiles for context on what’s coming through. In general, fiery conversations and forward thinking are adding coal to the fire of the underworld, being a catalyst to kick-start the transformation just beginning to start in Aquarius. The final aspect of the day is the Sun in Taurus square Mars in Leo at 1°. The steady plodding along of Taurus is bumping elbows with the vivacious king/queen lion Leo. With the Sun ruling Leo and considering squares being the nature of Mars, the Sun ruling over Mars in this square is likely constructive to martial action occurring within the regal sign of the Lion. The imagery I’m picturing for this one is a steady helping of wooden logs being added to a fireplace in the kings'/queens' quarters, causing roaring and raging flames as the next royal orders are soon to be executed.
Next on April 23rd, the Sun in Taurus squares Pluto in Aquarius still at 3°. Any reliable fruitful Taurian splendor is challenged and possibly broken down to bare basics with this square. If such destruction has left the cattle ravished, this creates the opportunity for the next go-round of the herd to be that much more productive, leading to hopefully an indulgent, satiating feast after enduring difficult rationings. At this time there is a fixed Grand Cross formed, including Mars in Leo and Lilith in Scorpio, that will be shifting becoming more exact the next couple of days other than Taurus pulling away from the fixed clan. It will continue being close enough to be considered a Grand Cross through that time.
Exalted Venus in Pisces is exactly conjunct Saturn again now at 27° on April 24th. This is Venus’ last meet up with Saturn in this sign for a long time as it finishes up its stay in Pisces. Venus exalted in Pisces is flowing, boundaryless, fertile, abundant, artful, and embracing of the sensual and spiritual, as well as possibly prone to getting lost in la-la land or indulging in too much of a good thing. But is too much of a good thing not a good thing? It depends… being up to the situation and those involved to determine. When Saturn is present with such a planet, this could play out in several ways; it could sober things up, reward the channeling of this energy, put a damper on the flow of juices, even teach lessons essential in the growth and integration of such splendid expressions. It should also be mentioned the conjunction is pretty much on the North Node at 26° and the Moon goes over these degrees today spotlighting extra emphasis. The NN is where the seas of karma swell then crash onto the banks of earthly reality. We could be swept away by these, but Saturn being there with exalted Venus I bet there is the structure and discipline to ride the waves in utilizing positive versions of these planets on the NN in the sign of the Fishes. Venus already conjoining Saturn earlier in April and being close enough to be considered conjunct most of the month continues to do so until leaving into Aries right before May.
April 25th Mars in Leo is opposite Pluto in Aquarius at 3°. Mars is almost past the shadow range of the last retrograde, now having to settle any scores or make any final deals with the lord of the underworld before proceeding to charge forward. This is the third pass of the opposition; reference back to what tensions or battles or balance had been present during those times for info on what might develop this go-around. Just as before, such can be a very combative and explosive showdown. I highly suggest we are extra careful and conscious with this opposition.
As if that wasn’t enough, there are more contentious variables considering the tumultuous opposition. Lilith now in Scorpio is T-squaring the opposition exactly at 3° also. Any situation where the feminine or ying side of individuals or life isn't being treated equally or honored, there's a great chance for retribution evening the playing field for acknowledgment and opportunities. Also, the Sun in Taurus is at 6° close enough to still call this a fixed Grand Cross. Consisting of two crossing oppositions that could also be viewed as four squares from the fixed signs, this can be very challenging and/or incredibly constructive. Either way, there is a great probability of this creating substantial results for whatever the outcome of this square-off or four-way tug of war may be.
The final lunation of April is a New Moon in Taurus at 7° on April 27th. This is still close enough to be considered a part of the described fixed Grand Cross. There is a dawning of new potentiality in the earthy fixed sign of the Bull/Cow. Taurus can do without big shifts or changing things up, but this is an opportune time to do so if inclined, not to mention the copresence of Uranus who is all about starting something new. This ability to begin anew when considering the Grand Cross could be the change needed in the fixed sign face-off to move things along and ease troublesome struggles or renovate current stuck structures.

Closing out the month we have Venus reentering Aries post-retrograde on April 30th. Venus changes dignity from exalted to exiled; such an ingress might not feel too good for anything we’re expecting to be traditionally Venusian. This type of Venus won’t likely let it get them down though; the Goddess of Love in a cardinal fire sign is fine to sever ties, act a little unladylike when called for, and fight for what it desires, not caring all that much for who is headbutted to obtain its ends. It is still some time before Venus gets through its retrograde shadow causing things to likely continue feeling stifled until ramming onwards.
